Starting in August the Western Canada Hockey Academy (WCHA) in Brandon will be offering female specific camps and after-school programs for all ages and positions.
A few of the currently available options include…
Female On-Ice / Off-Ice High Performance Goalie Program
August 2nd – 13th, 2021
Novice to Midget goaltenders are grouped according to age and skill level.
This program consists of five 90-minute on-ice training sessions, and five 60-minute off-ice training sessions. Each on-ice session will focus on stick handling, pad pushes, movement, tracking and drill progressions. These sessions will also include station work where we can focus on different skills to develop. Each goalie will be videoed and given instant feedback. Every second day our goalies will take part in off-ice sessions that are developed for goalie specific training. These sessions will focus on leg strength, speed, flexibility, and hand eye. Yoga sessions will also be included during our off-ice programs.
Head Instructors: Dan Averill and Trent Miner
